Jason combines creativity and activism to develop an innovative solution; the creation of artificial coral reefs. Peter Coyote narrates the film which focuses on the Yucatán Peninsula and the rapid demise of coral reefs. The degradation of the reefs affects the health of the sea, the culture of generations, the local economy and the beauty of the area. Among those featured are Paul Sánchez-Navarro, the Director of The Ecological Center in Akumal, and Dr. Sylvia Earle, the legendary ocean researcher. Members of the community offer their bodies as the human casts providing Taylor with hauntingly beautiful statues for the National Marine Park. The grand expression featured is the blue angel of the sea.
