#DearPrincessCelestia, Over the past couple weeks, Ive learned the following. ~No, really, test things quickly. ~Rationality spells also tend to have version 2.0s. ~Living in the head of a non-Brienne person is very different from living in Briennes head. ~There are vast differences in how easy it is to notice different kinds of things. ~When I notice myself putting off doing something I dread, I should simulate a version of myself who doesnt have that feeling. ~It is much harder to gain introspective access to some kinds of things than other kinds. ~I have a whole bunch of awesome fans I didnt even know about. For some reason many of them fear me. This does nothing to diminish my natural inclination to think of them as minions. ~Having probabilistic beliefs makes pinning down instances of changing your mind much harder to pin down. I usually only make huge updates about cached thoughts these days. ~Asking people to describe their experiences is a fantastic way of learning about them. ~Any time I want to learn anything whatsoever, I should make a concrete plan to teach it to other people. Doing so consistently causes me to Actually Try when I would otherwise try to try. ~If I think I ought to go running but really dont feel like it, I should put on my running clothes, go outside, and wait for it to rain, at which point I will probably feel like it and actually do it. This almost certainly generalizes, but Ive not yet thought about how.
