#DearSonOfJomo #MediocrityKE via @WangaiFidel THE CONSTITUTION IS NOT THE PROBLEM, YOUR #MISLEADERS ARE: I thought I was having a 3D discussion with a certain Facebook profile until it made it clear that what it wanted was an argument. Since I did not want to stoop down to its level, I simply disengaged myself. Its bone of contention was the booklet I prefer to call my beloved constitution. It was arguing that Kenya is not ripe for the current constitution and I challenged it to quote the areas it felt were erroneous. They are: 1. Senate has no clear role. 2. Women reps have no clear roles. 3. Devolution vis a vis the Kenyan GDP. I suggest you read Chapter 8, article 96, article 145 and Chapter 11. As for women representatives, the title is self explanatory. There are people who will blame the Government if they miss their periods. Or blame Moyes if they experience power blackouts. Why are you blaming the innocent Constitution for the mess created by the wolves you elected? For the record, all the candidates I voted for (because I felt could perform better) lost. But I accepted as my misleaders the ones you preferred. Enough said. Honestly, I dont see anything wrong with the current Constitution. Maybe it is better than the previous one that allowed people to be sworn-in using torches leading to bloodshed. Goldenberg and Angloleasing took place under the previous katiba. Yet we dont blame it; we blame the individuals involved. It is this same Constn that created the Supreme Court where disgruntled losers could file petitions. It is the same document that created the office of Deputy President even though the current office holder opposed it. So it is good. Similarly, the problem is not the Bible. It is we the sinners. Including those who steal in the name of the Lord. And the priests who do bad things to little boys. Even if you read katiba through and through with a magnifying glass, NOWHERE does it allow for abuse of office, impunity, corruption or any vice. When the thieves you elected in 2013 start raping and sodomising the innocent document, you shouldnt be blaming the victim. Case in point, Kabogo. When he states that unmarried women should not be given positions, which law says so? If anything, the Kenyan Constitution in Article 27 (1 and 4) orders that every person is equal before the law irrespective of ones marital status amongst others. But your beloved Governor feels that not being married is a grave sin. Why are the 47 women reps not storming his office demanding an apology or his impeachment? Need I remind you that this same leader was named by the late Saitoti (who died in a plane crash) as being involved in the narcotics trade? The same leader who is adversely mentioned in the murder of Mercy Keino. Kabogo was named alongside the Governor of Mombasa, Harun Mwau who almost became a Senator and the Senator of Nairobi. This last one has a phone in the shape of a woman in a bikini right in his official office. The same office he would be expected to host serious guests. Not forgetting his photoshopped photos with the Women Representative. Chapter 6 allows for all that? When Women Reps decide to represent us in hotel rooms, it is not in the booklet. When they decide to camp outside foreign courts to represent the 40m Kenyans who it appears are on trial, it is not in the booklet. When the leaders decide to tax your chicken and corpses to fund their entertainment allowance, it is not in the booklet either. But should you get arrested for failing to pay these weird taxes, the booklet has some goodies for you in the name of rights of an arrested person. Bill of rights. Grab your specs and read Chapter 4 ukiwa umeweka mchezo kando. It is said to be among the best in the entire world. The constitution created many offices but you saw it fit to fill them with just anybody. Even if we reduce them to two counties but still fill them with wolves in sheep skin, the problem would be pretty much the same. You re-elected and promoted the same thieves who wanted 9M retirement packages, diplomatic passports for themselves and spouses, armed bodyguards till death and state funerals. What did you expect? Accept and move on. Then re-elect them next time. The Deputy President once said that even if we change the Constitution a hundred times, there are those who will never get satisfied. Lunacy is doing the same thing over and over again. Yet expecting a different result.
