Dearest FaceBook Friends, As many of you already know, my nephew Jeff Shaw and I have been working diligently for the better part of a year now developing our organization, Cedar and Sage Colorado. Our mission is to cultivate local awareness and actualize community-driven solutions to our collective social and environmental crises. Our goals include: • To create meaningful jobs that pay a living wage with full benefits for people from underserved neighborhoods primarily located in North Denver. • To divert 8 to 10 tons of used building materials from landfills every day through our deconstruction services and used building material retail operation. • To facilitate community-driven education programs rooted in social and environmental sustainability and justice. This year has been an amazing journey, to say the least, and the exciting time has come that we are launching our website and our social media sites.
