Dearest followers, members and players it has been such a busy time in preparation for the upcoming World Championships in Scotland in October and the National Championships again nearing in mid October we have not informed you of the outcome of the event! :) Only two or three photos have been added so far with more to come. The event started mid day with friends and family, supporters and players all arriving slowly during the day. We would like to thank everyone who came for their help in our endeavors and hope they had a wonderful time. It means a lot to know we are not alone and we have friends who care. The children enjoyed the very large bouncy castle provided by BOOM Fouskota for many many hours, thank you Mr. Marie. There were also alot more games like pin ball and basketball, rocking horse, blocks, and alot more toys for the children to play with. The Foosball was a huge success with a lot of people trying their best to beat our top opponent, Christos Shiekeris for many hours. Thanks Christo for your help, keep on playing! And thanks also to others like Andreas Themistocleous and Mike Spyrou for also pitching in. And our highest regards and gratitude to Panikos at HOBOS cafe restaurant and Games Land for their generous donation of the Foosball table for a whole day (or two) ;) The event included a 10 euro ticket which included three attempts at every type of game/challenge. Completing the challenge gained you points. We had challenges in Speed Pool, Basketball, Football, Subbuteo, Foosball, snooker, accuracy, skill, darts, 9ball and even eye hand coordination. It was great seeing different people, men, women and children of all ages attempting the challenges and it was refreshing seeing people who were not from the world of pool turn up and try and even succeed in games they had never played before. The winner of the event scoring 170 points! was Stelios. Well Done!! You made some challenges look easy! A special Thank you to Costas Konnaris from Limassol for also donating days before the event. He said he liked the muffins :) The muffins and flowers prepared especially for the event were a great success and helped to also raise some funds. The remaining boxes were sold over the course of the following couple of days which was very positive. At the end of the day we did manage to cover the costs of the event and raise something more for those the event was intended for. We would also like to thank a family who came all the way from Troullous especially for the event. The young boys of the family, under the age of 15, are very interested in improving in the game of pool which is something we hope to help them with. We thank everyone again and hope to see you all soon in future events!
