Death by Elliptical Thats what I like to call my workouts. I find some sick humor in the fact that I feel like I am going to die while hill climbing on that damn machine. But it feels good. Really good. Better than I ever thought it could. A few weeks ago, I joined the #BeFitMovement at Ecore. This movement was inspired by one of our awesome customers (Jose) who decided to take control of his life and start eating healthier and exercising. He started the challenge at 350lbs. In the first 90 days he lost 68 lbs. He just celebrated a milestone of 100lbs lost!! Yay! Yay! Yay! I didnt join the challenge to lose weight necessarily. I joined to change my thought process on food and exercise. Up until now, I have eaten what I want (Im a junk food pig 🐷) and done minimal (if any) exercise and always remained at an acceptable weight. When I attempted to start working out, my ass was kicked within 5 minutes. I couldnt even make it 3 minutes on the elliptical. I started out slow and have gradually conditioned myself. I am now doing 20 (ass kicking, hill climbing, sweat pouring off my body) minutes and then jump to the treadmill for another 20. And yes - brace yourself.....I have even jogged a wee bit on that thing! Never would I have imagined that I would be enjoying this so much. Its exercise after all. And exercise has always been my nemesis. But I am. And today, I jumped on the scale and got wide eyed when I saw I have lost 7lbs. Thank you Jose for inspiring this challenge and setting a KICK ASS example for all of us!! YOU are a freakin ROCKSTAR!!
