I make a practice of not answering calls that dont show a caller ID, calls from 800,866,etc. numbers, and I hang up on the robot dialer if a live human doesnt answer my Hello within 2 seconds.(this last function could easily be programed into an answering machine designed to also ask callers who they wish to speak to, with voice recognition to inform them that they have a wrong number if they dont say one of the pre-registered names, all before ringing through through to the phone, then if that ring isnt answered ask if the caller wants it to forward the call to that individuals cell phone.
