(Deb) QPR defender Richard Dunne has welcomed the two men who are likely to replace him in the Hoops starting XI. The proud Irishman, who announced his international retirement on Thursday, says he is happy to see the new arrivals. I think its brilliant, Dunne said about the club signing up Ferdinand. He has come in and fitted straight into the squad. It can only benefit everyone, he has so much experience and he has won so many Premier League titles. In my opinion he has been the best centre-half in England for a long time and hes going to help me and Nedum Onuoha, and any other player that comes and plays alongside him, so I dont think he be can be anything but beneficial to the team. And on the £8m deal to bring Caulker in from Cardiff, Dunne was similarly full of praise: I saw him play a lot with Cardiff last season and he is another one that I think can only benefit the squad, he said. I think he has already played for England and I think that is the sort of player the club wanted to sign; players who have the ambition to play international football. And I am sure, with the help of Rio and the other players in the squad, he can achieve that.
