Debating UNSA Gold Coast !! Held fortnight, unless attendance and interest requires weekly. Traditional debating style with 3 v 3. All teams and topics allocated at event so no preparation. The first speaker is introduction, second speaker is depth and third speaker is rebuttal. The topics will start at a beginner level, but for those more experienced can be elaborated. As the weeks go by the topics will get harder and the debating will be more intense but that is because your skill level will increase due to that fabulous thing called practise, practise, practise! Debating is a chance to become comfortable at public speaking, thinking on your feet and developing your skills. The great thing is you won’t be judged, marked or critically assessed, so there is nothing to lose! Plus a great chance to meet other members or students and socialise afterwards.
