December 12th. This is one of my favorite Merle Haggard songs. Some would be reluctant to call it a Christmas Carol or song, but to me its about as real life as you can get. The holidays are a time where people struggle. People with addictions fall off the wagon, people face great financial difficulties, and Im not just talking about not being able to afford the latest iPhone. Suicide rates increase. I personally have felt this struggle the last couple of years. So, enjoy the song. Pray for those who are struggling, get involved. Even if you just drop the change out of your pocket into the salvation army kettle. It really does matter. #sharethegift #homegrownholiday
