December 2013 Volume 27 WHY YOU CANNOT SUFFER LIKE JOB During my early years as a new man in Christ Jesus, I often wondered if there is a possibility that God was still granting the request of Satan to fiercely try any of His children as the case was in the story of Job. Even though I had no clearly convincing scriptural point to stand on at that time, somehow in my spirit man, I knew that because of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, something happened that cancelled out and nullified the free range rights of Satan into the life of man. What was it? At that time, probably just like you too right now, I could not boldly tell. Then one day, while watching one of the insightful teachings of Dr. Perry Stone on TV, the light of the Holy Ghost suddenly broke forth in my spirit. I found the answer! The first chapter in the book of Job shows us that Job had a regular practice of offering up sacrifices unto God for the preservation of his children so that peradventure they go astray off the path of righteousness in their heart, their sins may be forgiven and that the judgment of God upon them may be averted (Job 1:5). As long as he could keep on this practice, his entire household, storehouse and investments flourished and were kept safe under the protective covering of God. Even Satan himself acknowledged this fact (Job 1:10), Therefore, when Satan managed to secure permission from God to try him, the first set of things he destroyed were his livestock; the essential items by which he could offer up a sacrifice for the preservation of every other thing he had. This way, Job could not stand a chance against him. He just went on and on to wreck more and more havoc! If Job, being a righteous man could suffer like that, can God allow the same fate to befall his saints today? Dearly beloved, the answer is an emphatic NO! How do I know? Very simple. The protective covering around the household and investments of Job was dependent on the shedding of the blood of animals. Therefore when the animals were taken out of the way, the door became wide open for the enemy to steal, kill and destroy at will. However, the protective covering around the new man in Christ is invoked by the shed blood of the Lamb of God which is by far more superior to the blood of bulls, goats, rams and so on. This blood was shed once and for all and its efficacy is for all times so the possibility of the item of sacrifice being taken out of the way in order to prevent a renewal of the covenant of preservation through an offering of a blood sacrifice is no longer an issue. This is why it is described as the blood of the everlasting covenant (Hebrews 13:20). The power that is made available by this blood of Jesus Christ the perfect Lamb of God has no expiry date, making the need for a constant renewal absolutely unnecessary. Our wall of protection is always strong, intact and in place to keep the devil out of our lives, families, businesses, careers and out of everything that pertains to us. Even if the devil is able to secure permission from God for whatever reason to come and try anyone among the very least of the saints of God, it would be that the Father wants to see him add another episode of frustration to his long running and on-going soap opera of failures because no matter how hard he tries, as long as the believer is aware of what he has in Christ, the enemy would not be able to stand a chance against him. Halleluyah! Your days of living in fearful captivity and subjection as a result of threats from the devil and his agents in his kingdom of darkness are over. Regardless of what may have happened, is happening or may happen in the realm of the spirit, God Almighty has got you covered by the blood of the Lamb. Just ensure that you remain under the covering. Invite your family and friends under it and actively extend it over them in prayer. Plead the power in the blood regularly by proclaiming its supernatural attributes as revealed in the Word of God over everything that pertains to you so that its active force will continue to operate maximally on your behalf. You are no longer a possible victim of the devil. You are now a victor and an impossible case for the kingdom of darkness. God made it so. Therefore, fear not precious saint of God; you will never have to suffer like Job! PROPHETIC DECREE I decree concerning you that from this moment and all through the year 2014, no evil will be recorded concerning you and your household. No matter how many arrows the wicked one may shoot in your direction, none of them will hit you. Under the protective covering of the blood of the everlasting covenant, I decree concerning you, Prosper, Flourish, Increase, Be enlarged, Break forth, on every side in the name of Jesus! Your weaknesses are turned into strengths, your defeat into victory, your lack into surplus and your losses into profits. Go and enjoy the fullness of the grace of God like you have never known it in life in the name of Jesus. It is well with you.
