Decent song, but Im beginning to fear a possible regression. The riffs just dont leave much of an impression on me, and the chorus is kinda weak. Ive stated multiple times that Revocation are one of my favourite metal bands, so I always look forward to everything they do. But tbh, I havent been blown away by any of their music since Chaos of Forms and the Teratogenesis EP. The musicianships still great as always, but I just dont feel the same energy that their earlier stuff had. Perhaps the rest of the album will surprise me with some of the most hard hitting and energetic music theyve written since Chaos of Forms, but at the moment, Im only carefully optimistic about this release (something that I never thought Id say about an upcoming Revocation album. Im usually super hyped whenever new stuff by them comes out).
