Deep into the grind of prospecting, many of us are told to actually pursue rejection as a means of alleviating frustration. Thing is, this neglects the true meaning of a no when building an organization. When someone passes you by, forget the commission or the life change you could have inspired in that person. Never, ever think about what youve missed. When you focus and keep pushing forward, even in rejection, you gain. Instead, think about the time youve saved, the failure which that person was just spared, your check off the list of a hundred legitimate conversations to go through each day. Some call it being positive, but Id argue entrepreneurship deserves much more solidity. I call it recognizing productivity because remember: unproductive time spent reflecting on what you deem a failure is dipping into a budget no two bit imbecile corporate management team would ever approve. Be better. Be productive.
