Deep pocket politics is a concept often used in the apartheid - TopicsExpress

Deep pocket politics is a concept often used in the apartheid systems and economics of wrongful act. It refers to the idea that the risk of a political activity should be borne by a person who is in a relatively in a good position to handle it. This can be achieved by either spreading the risk over a number of risk-bearers (usually by means of insurance to his backers, usually manipulation of hungry individuals), or by imposing it on a person who is relatively risk-neutral or comrades who are not aware of the purpose-built ANC. It is often assumed to be the case for wealthy individuals or large corporations, who are referred to as having deep pockets, since their wealth will not be affected very strongly if the political risk materialises. For example, a deep-pocket argument might, among other arguments, be used to justify leaderships liability, as members with deep pockets will normally be better and able to accommodate the risk of loosing than an individual ANC members not endowed with deep pockets. Why are we constantly battling and defeating them with all their deep pockets? Is it by virtue of their deep pockets that they tend to produce bitter and angry members within our ranks thus slowing down the ends of our future programmes. We as motive forces, we categorically regard them as few individuals who are not different from the forces that are opposed to the countrys transformation just like a deep pocket opposition. Why does the ANC keep on growing in terms endorsement despite all this, is because these deep pockets individuals are very very few and well known and at some stage they dont vote against the ANC since they knew consciously that all in all what they have or achieved is because of the ANC! Comrades are required to safeguard this fast paced individuals in our ranks because, often, they confuse power with leadership. But regardless of how one comes by it, positional power alone will not make someone a leader. However, there is one aspect that holds true regardless of an individual differences or deep pocketed - ANC leadership must be earned!
