Defendant ‘Little Tony’ Ferrari says Boulis was murdered — but not by him Anthony “Little Tony” Ferrari, one of the men accused of arranging and helping carry out the Feb. 6, 2001, murder of Miami Subs founder Konstantinos “Gus” Boulis, took the stand on Wednesday to tell a Broward jury that he had nothing to do with the crime — but he knew who did. “Gus Boulis was murdered,” Ferrari said. “He was murdered by Adam Kidan. And he used a friend of mine: James [Pudgy Fiorillo].” Ferrari identified Kidan, who was in a power struggle with Boulis for control of the SunCruz Casino boat fleet, as the mastermind of the plot to kill Boulis, and former co-defendant Fiorillo as the possible gunman. Both men testified for the prosecution that Ferrari was a prime mover in the murder plot and that he confessed to it afterward. Ferrari named a third co-conspirator — another prosecution witness, Dwayne Nicholson. Nicholson had testified earlier in the trial that Ferrari and Anthony “Big Tony” Moscatiello tried to recruit him to kill Boulis in late 2000. But in Ferrari’s telling, Nicholson really did go through with the murder, at Kidan’s request.
