Defending Durand Cup champs Mohammedan SC failed to deliver in style and ended up losing to I-league champs Bengaluru FC by 2-1 at Raia Sports Complex, Goa on Thursday in their first outing of Durand Cup - 14. MSC, who reached Goa by train and bus from Kolkata just 22 hours earlier, appeared jaded. That they had not trained for more than a month reflected well in their show-up. United Sports Club is going to take on Air India in the Durand today (Friday) after going down fighting to Sporting Clube de Goa by 3-2 in their first outing. This is almost a must-win match for the self-motivated boys in purple. Mohun Bagan AC is all set to make preparations for the upcoming Kings Cup in Bhutan. The practice session will resume on Moday, 3rd Nov after a long lull of around a fortnight. Meanwhile, the club officials are taking a go slow route upon clubs bank a/c seal by ED observing the actions of AIFF, Ministry of Finance and other concerned bureaus.
