Delays lead to a Victory of Faith? Jesus had just come down from - TopicsExpress

Delays lead to a Victory of Faith? Jesus had just come down from the Mount of Transfiguration and a crowd was around the other disciples, including scribes. With loud voices and some saying this and that. Jesus came up to them and asked, what is going on here? Mark 9:17-24 And one of the crowd answered Him, Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute; 18 and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and stiffens out. I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it. 19 And He answered them and said, O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me! 20 They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the (evil) spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth. 21 And He asked his father, How long has this been happening to him? And he said, From childhood. 22 It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us! 23 And Jesus said to him, If You can? All things are possible to him who believes. 24 Immediately the boys father cried out and said, I do believe; help my unbelief. The all things in verse 23, do not always come simply for the asking, for the Reason that God is ever seeking to teach us the way of faith, and in our training in the faith life there must be room for the Trials of faith, the Discipline of faith, the Patience of faith, the Courage of faith, sometimes many stages are passed before we really realize what is the End of faith, namely, the Victory of faith. Real Victory of Faith, is developed through Discipline of faith. You have made your request of God, but the answer does not come. So What are you going to do now? Quit believing and go home, how to answer those who you have told about Gods Healing? Just like the disciples, they had tried to cast out the demons, but nothing happened and they could not figure out why? So what were they to do when the crowd wanted Answers and they had none? Dont you know they were very happy to see Jesus come up, as they ran up to greet Him! We are told to Keep on believing in Gods Word; do not doubt and never be moved away from it by what you see or feel, and then as you stand in the Faith, enlarged power and experience is being developed. The fact of looking at the apparent contradiction as to Gods Word and being unmoved from your position of faith, will make you stronger in your Faith. Often God Delays on Purpose, and the Delay is just as much an answer to your prayer as is the fulfillment when it comes. In the lives of all the great Bible characters, God worked thus. Abraham, Moses and Elijah were not great in the beginning, but were made great through the discipline of their faith, and only thus were they fitted for the positions to which God had called them. The Bible tells us that the Word of God tries some, before they see the answer to their prayer requests. But those who keep the Faith, despite the Delay are the ones who see the fulfillment of their requests. No amount of persecution tries like experience. When God has spoken of His purpose to do, or when you have made your requests---- and yet the hours, days, months and sometime years, go on and He does not do it, that is truly hard; but it is a Discipline of faith that will bring us into a Knowledge of God and His Victory of Faith, which would otherwise be impossible. https://youtube/watch?v=rNPJ1B908BI
