Democracy solute for the GREAT leadership of Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai was a great, passionate and charismatic leader who opened a new chapter of life for Afghans, for first time in history of Afghanistan called “Democracy” after three decades of lengthy internal conflicts. He was emerged as a compassionate doctor, embraced a child who was affected by an incurable sever disease and had been suffering for quite a long time named Afghanistan. President Karzai came to power by the support of international community, who rapidly has ended the three decades of conflicts in Afghanistan. Very professionally he has brought together all those political leaders who once had fought against each other, killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Afghans, forced millions of others for internal displacement or immigrated aboard to Pakistan and Iran. He reassembled all those powerful political warlords who created a lengthy civil war in country around a united table for reconciliation and reintegration. In order to work collectively towards nation building rather than to continue working for nationalities as they had been doing for the past years. The management of warlords, and Jihadi commanders who had been fought for more than a decade against each other is not an easy job. It requires first of all a great personality and a passionate and charismatic style of leadership to manage and digest such people within governmental system. As president Karzai had managed and digested them with having all different kinds of varieties successfully during his presidency. When President Karzai came to power, he was given a complete devastated government, fragmented nation and hostile warlords to manage and leads them towards progress and unionization. The country was completely shattered and there was no government, no economy no police and no army. The country was just crippling by its both broken feet and the nation was in an absolute poverty. Very recently, the country went through two phases disaster. One was the Mujahidin government who converted a beautiful Kabul into ashes of fire and erupted a civil war which had opened internal conflicts province against provinces, districts against distracts and villages against villages just for control the maximum power among seven leaders across the country. The second phase was the darkness regime of Taliban who converted the country into a training center for producing the terrorists, and a safe heaven for harboring them as attacked USA and introduced the country as sever enemy to the world. Eventually, the US with allied nations had intervened and defeated the Taliban regime within a month. The defeat of Taliban had become a golden opportunity for the warlords who actually were the key player in shuttering the country into ashes of the fire besides Taliban. As a result, the new beginning for Afghans had started. Karzai was announced as an interim government leader in Boon conference, which was held in Germany on 2002. Although Mr. Karzai was barely accepted by the warlords who were present at that conference and voted. Because they had the proud of being at once Mujahidin and then had played role in defeating Taliban. Why power was not given to us instead has given to Karzai by international community. But they had forgotten that, the international community when toppled down the Taliban regime, actually they had rescued the warlords too from the claw of Taliban who had the control on more then ninety-five percent soil of the country. And the war that Taliban had initiated, it was mainly against warlords started from Kandahar who they called “ Shar-aw-Fasad. Mr. Karzai was selected as president for a country at the time when country had nothing at all. Everything had to be started from the very beginning such as forming the government, police and army and above all to provide justice, peace and security for the nation. Besides, he was given a greedy and hostile full of warlord’s team as a working team to work with him in leading the nation and government. In other hand, Mr. Karzai had to deal with international community in saving the lives in battling against the international terrorisms in villages within the country. Keeping relations with more than forty-five nations across the world. The truth is he was given absolutely an unsuitable team who were mostly criminal back-grounded people neither liked by the nation nor liked by the international community. For him, it was absolutely not an easy job to re-unionize the hostile warlords and to administer all these challenges in the past thirteen years. With all incredible achievements that he had been achieved in the past thirteen years, he sometimes was called a good ally to international community and sometimes not a good partner with US by western media. He sometimes was called a friend to Taliban and sometimes called not a good friend of Mujahidin by domestic media. In other hand, he was blamed supporting the warlords a lot than others within the country and cannot make the justice served. In the last days of his tenure, even he was confronted with parliamentarians blaming him as mastermind of 2014 contentious election. And many more things have said against Karzai when he has denied signing the Bilateral Security Agreement between Afghanistan and USA. The truth is all these negative things have always been masterminded by those who sought their personal interests in trouble such as few high-ranking officials whenever either fired or separated from the government due to logical reasons. Then they raised their voices against his leadership and management. The horrific fact of the ground is that this country is completely fragmented from being as a nation into nationalities based on ethnicities and language and religion. And different nationalities always had been flowed blindly different parties even if they are wrong over the past history. For a country that its community has yet been living in form of nationalities based on ethnicities and language or geography rather than as a nation which is monopolized mainly by warlords. It must be absolutely difficult for a short term government to be fixe all the problems including making peace, security and good governance within thirteen years. However, the progress that has been made under the leadership of Hamid Karzai is absolutely commendable and I called him as a GREAT passionate, and charismatic leader. During his entire tuner, he has never seen to make decisions emotionally or to malfunction the system due to internal conflict. He was keeping all the warlords happy very professionally, besides peacefully and successfully functioning the governmental system. He always tried to make people motivated even if they were making making mistakes in their performance. Because, he knew that Afghanistan is still far from being perfect. He believed that humans are fallible not infallible that should not make mistakes. He was given his staff and minsters moral with respect. He was respecting his team first as human being and then subordinates. Under any circumstances, he never been reported losing temper or humiliated someone. He always had a great look towards anyone, which had been given asthmatically a moral of friendship to talk and work with him. President Hamid Karzai was a great, passionate and a charismatic leader and the history will proud of him. He was true leader with great personality.
