Mapping the movement: from civil society groups to new political parties, and from academia to business there is a wide array of people working in the deliberative and participatory democracy space. Tell us about your group and its projects and put it on the map! 11.30am-12.00pm Strategies for change: finalise the open space agenda for afternoon - from building movements to building alternatives, building new political parties to new discourses, there are many strategies for achieving change. How can we share skills and support each other to advance change? (See below for some proposals.) Lunch 12.00-1.30pm (please join us for lunch at Dumplings Plus, 269 Swanston St) Afternoon: Open space Here are some ideas for the afternoon - email your proposal beforehand or suggest something on the day: * Online Deliberation: sharing skills and experiences about encouraging online deliberation. * Lessons from Latin America: what can we learn from the birthplace of participatory budgeting? * Three weeks to go! Leveraging the election: how can we help each other now to get democracy on the agenda? What is your group planning for the run-up to election day? * Future planning: how can we work together in the future? Via a formal or informal network? Regular or occasional meet-ups? Organising forums, lobbying local/state/national governments?
