I am LED amputee (at elbow) and have just learned that I will be having breast surgery (mastectomy), and will be sent home with a surgical drain to maintain (measure, empty, clean) for two weeks. I live alone. The surgeon will try to position the tube/drain so that I might be able to hold it steady with my stump, but we are not sure that will work. Apparently the tricky part is keeping the tube from dislodging as you manipulate the drain. Thanks for any tips or thoughts!
