Denmark is moving toward fossil independence. This means renewable energy sources such as wind, sun and wave are becoming ever more important. These energy sources are supplying energy when the weather is favourable, not when demand is peaking. The energy system of the future must be intelligent, so generated electricity can be used in the same second it is produced – day or night.
