Deportations to prevent further sit-ins. Brotherhood sleeper cells pose threat Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al- Khalid has ordered the deportation of nine Egyptians, believed to be members of the Muslim Brotherhood group for taking part in an illegal demonstration and attempting to stir sedition in front of the Egyptian consulate in the suburb of Al-Roudah, reports Al-Shahed daily say sources. In the meantime, the same sources say members of the Muslim Brotherhood branch, Kuwait, have given instructions to Egyptians (affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood) working in various state ministries and companies owned by the Muslim Brotherhood members to demonstrate in front of their Embassy in large numbers in a desperate attempt to stir sedition and put pressure on regime back home. The sources say the Kuwaiti Brotherhood members at any cost are determined to lure the Egyptians to storm their embassy and the consulate just like what happened in Libya and Tunisia. The sources added the decision of the Minister of Interior to deport the Egyptians is aimed at scuttling the plans of the Muslim Brotherhood and prevent them from organizing sit-ins and demonstrations in front of the Egyptian consulate. The sources explained the Brotherhood will resort to alternative plans to stir up sedition. According to the Al Rai daily, 67 Egyptians have been interrogated by the police for their alleged participation in the rallies. The daily said at least 35 Egyptians took part in the two rallies which were held downtown Kuwait City. Several Egyptians have reportedly used the social networking websites and blogs and Internet cafe’s to encourage fellow citizens to take part in the rallies to oppose the takeover of their country by military. Kuwait prevents foreigners from taking part in demonstrations and rallies without permission and has regularly issued warnings in this regard. Foreigners who are deported in such cases are usually given one week to leave the country with their families. In the meantime, several Kuwaitis have warned of the possibility of ‘sleeping cells’ in the country which support the Muslim Brotherhood and have called for vigilance. Courtesy: Arabtimesonline
