Depression is something that is all to familar in my life. It is the consequence of so many things that life throws at you and as someone who believes that we can do and be whatever we want it is hard to cope with something that seems to be able to take complete control over yr life. I suffer from depression and there are those around me that also suffer. At times you feel that life is hopeless and there is nothing you can do. The thing is that you dont want to show it, so often you appear far more alive than you really feel. Anyone who thinks that suicide is the cowards way out has never been there with depression. I feel for where Robin Williams must have been and wish him joy and laughter free of depression with where hes gone. Next time you want to give a harsh opinion or rip someone to shreds for the fun of it, think twice. Unbeknown to you they may be suffering from depression and the consequences may be far greater than you intended. Lets try and be nice to each other and do right by each other..if for no other reason than you dont know what the other person is hiding under that tough exterior.
