Dept. of Movie Publicity Director/star interview for one of the movies of 2014 I liked best, Calvary. Brendan Gleeson, when he’s being serious, his face crinkles up and he looks his age, kind of like Edmund Gwenn in Miracle on 34th Street. But when he relaxes and laughs, wow, he’s 30 years old again. What I liked in the interview, director-writer John Michael McDonagh and star Gleeson acknowledge the awesomeness of good home theater systems, but also try to make a case to get viewers into actual movie theaters. They almost come out and beg. Preaching to the choir, in my case.
