Derby vs Fulham Pick : Fulham Odds 5.25 (17/4) (small stake) Time : 15:00 (UK) Going against crowds here. In value perspective, theres simply too much of it. I would have taken odds of 5.25 for Fulham to win this in preseason with tears of joy in my eyes. The season after relegation is usually tough and Fulham have really overstated how hard it can actually be. Catastrophic start of the season with all three matches lost and the gameplay looks somewhat messed up. One of the reasons why Fulhams teamwork looks so undone is that their roster has changed a lot. The rams have managed to keep their key players, like Hughes, Martin and Bryson, and manager McClaren who took his job midseason last year has had time to prepare his team for the upcoming season in peace. The reason why Im even thinking about backing Fulham here, the team that has lost all matches, is their quality in attack and when you look at the fact that Derby conceded most goals in top 6 teams last year. Yes, things got better under McClaren, but still I dont think that their defence is good enough. Players like Mitroglou, McCormack, Ruiz and Rodallega SHOULD be able to cause problems for the Rams, even though their powder have been moist so far. Im not going to lie, a lot needs to happen in The Cottagers camp if they are going to win here, but Im hoping they find their fighting spirit and try harder to work as a team, when they meet one of the promotion contenders and people expect them to really struggle. I dont know how much Felix Magath has time if they lose here again, might well be his last match.
