Dermal -Type Cylindroma Cancer is the findings This is the type of caner that i have. Mine is a very, very rare Cancer that i share with 3 other people in the USA. It is very rare because it is a skin cancer that sits on my left lung corner. Usually skin cancer is outside of the skin but mine traveled & decided to sit inside of my lung. Just my luck :). I am blessed to have many family & frineds praying for I & my daughter. Thank you again to each & everyone of you. Just to keep everyone up to date on the final diagnosis lung. I have a history of scalp cylindroma with 2 separately identified parotid lesions more recently characterized. These all have a bland histology, making the tumor in the lung a surprising finding. As such, the case was sent to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Evans rendered the diagnoses of dermal cylindroma multicentric microscopic dermal cylindromas in parotid, and dermal-type cylindroma (membranous type of basal cell adenoma), nodular mass within the 3 previously excised lesions from outside hospitals. Dr Evans rendered the following comment: The appearance of the tumor is similar in all specimens. In the scalp specimen there are nodular areas of greater cellularity but the pattern of dermal cylindroma is maintained in the areas as it is elsewhere. The involvement of scalp and parotid gland by dermal- type cylindroma is recognized syndrome, but metastasis to the lung would be very rare occurrence. However, one would have to conclude that this has occurred because the lung tumor is identical in appearance to the others and show definite features of dermal-type cylindroma. (I would be that rare case). So i hope this helps all to understand what i am going threw at this time .Thank you for all the prayers.
