Despite the huge slate of candidates in Kincardine, the voter turn-out for this years election, so far, is lower than the 2010 election. Thats the word from Kincardine clerk Donna MacDougall. She says that as of Thursday, 3,602 ballot packages had been processed for a 35-per-cent voter turn-out rate. In 2010, the municipality had reached 39-per-cent voter turn-out at this point. MacDougall says 197 packages were received Thursday and would be processed Friday morning, bringing the voter turn-out to 37.5 per cent.
