Detectives are investigating after three men burst into a man’s house in Manchester. It happened at about 4.10pm on Wednesday 30 July 2014, when a 27-year-old man was in the bathroom at home on Birch Street in Belle Vue. He heard a loud bang and heard lots of shouting, when he looked out of the bathroom he saw three men running up the stairs, one armed with what he describes as a ‘Rambo’ style knife. One of the men forced his way into the bathroom, there was a scuffle between the two and the victim struck his assailant knocking him to the floor. The other two men followed heard the commotion and a fight ensued, after a few minutes the three offenders ran out of the house towards Crosby Street. The first offender is described as white, of stocky build, about 6ft tall and was wearing a balaclava and a red top, he was also holding the knife. The second is described as white, of stocky build, about 5ft 7in tall and was wearing a dark blue tracksuit. The third is described as white, of stocky build and was wearing a black tracksuit. Detective Constable Ian Hatfield from North Manchester division, said: “We are working to establish whether this was a targeted attack, nevertheless these men came armed with the intention to intimidate and injure their victim. “However, he fought back and the three men left the house empty handed.
