I went to see my granddaughter yesterday to spend time with her .While I have been visiting with her we have been exercising in her wonderfully heated indoor pool. As I was mounting my 10 minute mark and headed to my 20th, God spoke to me about my determination. I have been determined to lose weight..... so much so that I have been seeking different ways to exercise. God pointed out to me, that he was pleased that I was seeking to be more healthy but he wants me to seek Him more .In fact ,he wants us to diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11: 6 Luke 11: 9 The Word says He is looking for that very relationship. Psalms 14: 2. 1 Chronicles 16 :11 So I decided to look up determination. Websters defines determination as 1. ) an active of deciding definitely and firmly : the result of such an act of decision 2.) a firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end. The woman who came to Jesus to have her demon possessed daughter delivered had this kind of determination. Matthew 15:21- 28 When we accept Christ ....we know He loves us. We are excited and we love Him because He loves us..... but as we mature ,God wants a more intimate relationship with us. He wants us to love Him because we KNOW Him .Not just because He knew us. Luke 15: 8 -10 When we start seeking Him we are no longer self -seeking Philippians 2:21 Matthew 15:8 Matthew 6:21 Diligently seek God today and see a love in your life that will last! Prayer: Father , forgive me for my lack of determination in seeking you. I ask You to let the truths I find in Your Word and in Your voice cause me to look to You , May they cause me to enter into Your presence, boldly and without hesitation, and help me to honor and devote myself to You afresh today with all of my heart, Amen. Luke 15: 8-10
