Dexys Midnight Runners Adventure Walk: Hi Jill, Thank you so much for donating a sponsor hike for a shelter animal this holiday! This pretty little girl is Dexys Midnight Runner. Dexy is a 10 month old American terrier mix. She is currently available at the Richmond Animal Care and Control Shelter. Dexy is quite the dream dog for being only 10 months old. She was so excited to get out of the shelter when I got her leashed up. We got in the car and headed over to Oregon Hill to get on to the north bank trail. She did so well in the car. One would imagine that she has had her share of car rides, she did so well. When we got out of the car and started walking Dexy was super excited. She was a dream to walk on her leash. For being so young this little lady is so well behaved on leash. We walked a bit on the trail and then cut over to Hollywood cemetery for a change of scenery. We passed a few people walking with dogs and Dexy got to interact a bit with other people and sniff a few dogs. She did absolutely wonderful! At one point we sat at a bench over looking the river and had a snuggle session. Dexy is quite the little lover bean and was very much enjoying all the attention she was getting on our hike. We looped back out of the cemetery and cruised through Oregon Hill a bit before heading back to the car. She settled down nice in the backseat and snuggled on our way back to the shelter. There is no doubt that Dexys Midnight Runner cant wait to find her forever home and will be a great addition to a lucky family! Dexy is available with Richmond Animal Care and Control.
