Diagnosis. I have an incurable illness which could be fatal. I have been doing considerable research about it and have just written to my consultant with a proposal for further actions. I am bearing up presently because I am on steroids, which cannot go on. I have been diagnosed with a rare form of hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Huge reactions to airborne allergens which shuts down my lungs and heart. The birds have a role to play, but having been there with such reactions when I was a child, what I know is that a knee jerk response of removing everything from the immediate environment does not work. Something else takes its place. I react in the same way to any infection. So, I am pursuing desensitisation, physio therapy to build lung capacity, further testing for rodent protein allegens (dormice in France). Also investing in allergen killing treatments and air purifiers. Phew. Thanks for all your supportive and kind messages. They are deeply appreciated.
