Did You Know? Research has shown that yoga can be used to control blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, metabolism, body temperature, brain waves, and skin resistance? It not only helps improve physical fitness, it also reduces stress, and increases feelings of relaxation and well-being. According to a report by the National Institutes of Health, yoga is helpful when used with conventional medical treatment to help relieve some of the symptoms linked to cancer, asthma, diabetes, drug addiction, high blood pressure, heart disease, and migraine headaches.
