Did i tell yall how much i love my Fresh Oil Christian Center - TopicsExpress

Did i tell yall how much i love my Fresh Oil Christian Center church family? We had a clothing drive today, where we gave away a ton of clothes, helped many families, fed MANY people. Before we even opened or started we had a VERY humbling experience. Aa Homeless lady came inn, asking for Jeans or some kind of warm pants becausee she was cold and wet, We were able to find her some warm dry clothes that fit. her cloth boots were soaking wet, Sister Kristina Maddox asked her what size shoe that she wore, it turned out that they wore the same size. Sis. Kristina went into the trunk of her car, and gave the woman a pair of tennis shoes. The woman then told us how she had not eaten in two days, so we gave her some doughnuts, since the food was not quite ready. sister Fancy Nancy Pants asked to pray with the woman. The woman then began to back away proclaiming that she didnt have any money... Sis Nancy advised her that she did not need any money to receive prayer. When Sis Nancy went to reach for the Womans hands to pray for her, she once again pulled back and asked youre going to touch me? Sis nancy told her Yes, you are a child of God, why wouldnt I? The woman then said, Because I am homeless, Long story short, Sis Nancy prayed for, with and over this Young Lady, we invited her back at noon to come and eat, We told her to bring some more of her friends with her when she came back, and surely she did. To see the look of appreciation and gratitude on this womans face, as well as the look of shock that we were not scared to touch her or pray for her, truly humbled me. Making me think back on how many times i many have looked twice at, or down upon someone less fortunate than myself. We never know when we may be entertaining an angel. The interaction with this woman and the compassion that was shown to her on today, could be just what she needed as a first step to get her self together, we never know. Thank you so much to Bishop Kelvin Parker, and Pastor Iram White for your leadership and your vision, as well as your compassion and Passion for Community Outreach!!
