Did my eyes and ears fail me? ..or was I dreaming. While watching a solemn mass for Kisii students killed in a road accident on TV, I was shocked to see some Abakusi shouting down a Jubilee Minister who had carried a Message of condolence from President Uhuru Kenyatta. I heard the minister plead in his mother-tongue "Please listen, Iam one of you" but they kept booing him". Why Iam sad is because President Uuru ordered a plane to rescue the students from the accident site. The caskets were being ferried by GK ambulances and the government is meeting the funeral expenses etc...the worst part was the fact that the meeting turned to be an opposition campaign rally..surely ,something must be terribly wrong with our society !. remember other students are still admitted in Kenyatta national hospital..What could have happened if president Uhuru had attended the function !
