Did you know? It was the best of times . . . Les Eclipses from Longueuil, QUE, had a roller coaster of a season in 1986. On June 21, at a contest in Revere, MA, the corps scored a dismal 36.70, finishing 26 points behind the 27th Lancers. The 1986 DCI Championship Quarterfinals in Madison, WI, showed just how far they came during those two months when they tallied an impressive 86.10, just two and a half points behind the 27th Lancers. A week later, Les Eclipses scored 90.50 at the Quebec Provincial Championship. It is rare indeed when a corps gores from scoring in the 30s to scoring in the 90s during the same season.
