Did you know that U.S. military #Widows lose all their benefits and pensions if they remarry? There are over 4000 widows just from the recent conflicts...most who are in their 20s and 30s. A cursory search for any petition to change this turns up nothing. Perhaps its difficult for widows to fight for this for themselves without seeming unpatriotic? It seems that for widows and their children who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of their country, our country needs to honor them and not make them choose between love, marriage, or pensions.
