Did you know that atheism is a religion? Its not my opinion, its a fact. Its whats referred to in philosophy as an a priori truth. In latin, a means without and priori means experience. Basically, it means that no experiments are necessary in order to demonstrate the validity of the statement. Atheism IS a religion, according to the definitions of Atheism and Religion and this is the way that I have defined them: Religion,of course, is a set of beliefs which are governed by faith, rather than reason. Atheism, despite the fact that it technically means a lack of theism, actually, in popular terminology, refers to the presence of a belief that there is no god, destiny, divine plan etc. The absence of such a belief without insisting on its opposite is called Agnosticism. However, I would like to say that I think that atheism is certainly not the most harmful religion out there.
