Did you know that in our precinct there are large language groups of Vietnamese, Cantonese, Greek, Arabic, Mandarin, and Somali. At about 1% of the local population, Indigenous Australians find Fitzroy/Collingwood a central settlement area. The highest non-Anglo cultural groups are Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian, German, Greek, Somali, Sudanese, Dutch, and New Zealander. Thirty per cent of us speak another language at home. One-third were born overseas. Twenty-five per cent arrived since 2006.
