For 18 years the City of Playford has been providing low cost food and essential grocery items through its stores at Smithfield Plains and Elizabeth Downs. The City of Playford Food Co-op is staffed by Playford employees and a band of dedicated volunteers. As well as great food, cleaning products and personal hygiene items at even greater prices -- staff members give budget assistance and provide information on healthy meal preparation. At the cornerstone of this assistance is the Co-ops range of more than 70 pre-packed kits containing all ingredients and a recipe for an economical meal that is packed with flavour and nutritional punch.
