Diddy and Drake apparently fought because of a Boi-1da beat. As we reported yesterday, Diddy and Drake reportedly got into it (well, at least Diddy did) over the weekend, while the two were celebrating DJ Khaleds birthday party at Club LIV in Miami. Plenty of rumors were circulating on Monday about the fight and the reason behind it. Reliable information seems to say that Diddy slapped Drake, mid-conversation, when the two were outside of LIV on Sunday night. TMZ reported on Monday that before smacking Drizzy upside the head, Diddy told him You will never disrespect me.., however what ultimately led him to hit the Toronto rapper was unclear, although it was apparently about business. Now TMZ has dug up the main issue. Their sources say that the conversation was centered around a Boi-1da beat-- apparently the producer sent both Diddy and Drake the same beat about eight months ago, and after Diddy sat on the beat for months, Drake finally decided to record over it and release it. It did really well, which pissed Diddy off, and hence the whole you will never disrespect me thing. We dont know which Boi-1da beat was the center of argument, although if it was one of Drakes recent drops, it could be either 6 God or How Bout Now, both of which had Boi-1das touch. Then again, its possible its an older release, like 0 To 100. Well update you if more details arrive. [Update: Video Of Diddy Claiming Ownership Of 0-100 Surfaces] Well, it now appears that Drake and Diddy did in fact dispute the ownership of Boi-1das 0-100 beat in the past, even if it wasnt what they were fighting about over the weekend. TMZ has unearthed a video from a few months ago in which Diddy claims he gave the beat to Drake and Drizzy stole it. Shot in June during a Diddy/Ma$e show in Miami, the video has the mogul saying, I gave this shit to this nigga, and this nigga stole this shit from me. But at the end of the day, the shit still hard before prompting his DJ to throw on 0-100. We then get to see some pretty amazing dance moves from the two aging dudes, so stick around til the end of the video.
