Diego Costa can bridge the Drogba gap at Chelsea. DIEGO COSTA has some big boots to fill at Chelsea when he arrives after the World Cup. But there is only one pair the striker really needs to fit - Didier Drogbas. Costa, the Brazilian-born Spanish international, passed his Chelsea medical this week and, with the clubs having completed a £32million deal for the 25 year old, he will finalize his move after the World Cup. Former Blues striker Tony Cascarino thinks that, in Costa, they have found the right man - the right successor to Drogba - at last. Cascarino said: Its a great acquisition for Chelsea. You have to look at the relationship between Drogba and Frank Lampard in Jose Mourinhos most successful team. You see a forward who could hold the ball up and create things. That then helps the midfielder get goals. Chelsea havent had a relationship like that since. Demba Ba does it OK but he doesnt do it to the level Jose Mourinho wants.
