Dignity for Disability MLC Kelly Vincent invites you to a public consultation on her Draft Electoral (Electronically Assisted Voting and Other Matters) Amendment Bill 2014. Topics covered by the Bill include: - Better access to elections and voting for people with a range of disabilities - Non-compulsory voting for 16 and 17 year olds - Banning the use of corflute electoral advertising across South Australia - Removal of the need to mark the ballot paper so blind and vision impaired voters can vote by telephone WHEN: Friday October 10 2014, 2pm – 4pm WHERE: Disability Information and Resource Centre (DIRC), 195 Gilles St, Adelaide CBD. (map attached) ACCESS: The venue for this meeting is accessible, including accessible and fragrance free bathrooms. A hearing loop will be in operation and AUSLAN interpreter will be available at the meeting.
