Dinner time headache #674: Leftovers + CJ = Total Teenage Drama Meltdown. Ok, leftovers arent my favorite either, but were not in habit of wasting food around here...and I didnt feel like cooking. After several rounds of Youre trying to poison me!! and Im going to starve!! Steve and I reached into the coffers of our childhood for the proverbial You eat whats on your plate or you dont eat. Oh, it didnt end there, CJ actually clutched his stomach, made a Jim Carey face a la Ace Ventura Pet Detective, and wailed Im suffering!!! So we put CJs plate in front of him, preparing for any ensuing antics. This is what happened: CJ (staring at his plate): What is this? Steve: Its meatloaf, green beans and mashed potatoes. CJ: But this is snack sized. Steve: You just spent 20 minutes threatening to go on a hunger strike, are you kidding? CJ: No, Im not kidding. This is a snack sized suffering. Its a good thing this kid is so entertaining, because I was *this* close to selling him to the circus. I got your snack sized suffering.
