Disappointed in the governing body of the states activities association. The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activity Association has caved into the big newspapers and television stations of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. What this creates is a loss of school time for student athletes. It seems that these newspapers want the games to be finished earlier, so that they may be able to have the scores for Saturday mornings edition. Thats easily done if the games are played in the City and Tulsa areas. And the teams are playing a team just down the street. All starting times have been moved up to 7 p.m.. This means if you live in Durant and play football in the Tulsa area --- the team has to leave an hour earlier. Missing an hour of school. What is the OSSAA thinking? This is a board comprised of school administrators. What are they thinking??
