Disconnect takes on the theme of social media and modern technology’s inability to truly connect members of society on a human level. As the trailer above showcases, the film tackles its layered-subject with numerous interweaving storylines, with each one seemingly demonstrating a separate pitfall of our social media generation and (over)reliance on technology. The film is brought to us by Oscar nominee Henry Alex Rubin (Murderball), who is making his fiction feature debut. It features a diverse but very talented ensemble cast, including Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Hope Davis (American Splendor), Frank Grillo (The Grey), Paula Patton (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol), Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood), Max Thieriot (House at the End of the Street), Andrea Riseborough (Oblivion) and Colin Ford (We Bought a Zoo).
