Discovered the immense Albany Rural Cemetery just 3 minutes from where I went to fill up the car before departing Troy/Albany/Capital Region this morning. I learned only last night that at least one of Rheas ancestors (that I have been chasing around Long Island, coastal CT, and Cape Ann, MA researching) is buried there. Turned out there were FOUR, at least thats as many as I found. Including one Civil War casualty from the NY 22nd Infantry. Very interesting morning to distract me from the sadness of leaving the family and especially gorgeous, funny and amazing baby Liam.
