Dispatcher assist in providing CPR to 1-year-old who fell face down in bucket of water. The child is alive and currently in stable condition. Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on Sunday, August 10th, a 1-year-old female fell head first into a container of water and nearly drowned. Riddhi Patel, 33-year-old mother, was at home when her daughter walked into the bathroom by herself. The mother was tending to another child at the time and walked in to observe the infant face down in the container of water. Liberty Township emergency crews along with the Butler County Sheriff’s Detectives responded to the 4600 block of Sanibel in Liberty Township for the investigation. Investigators advised the mother had been in another room for approximately 4 or 5 minutes before she found the infant. The mother called 9-1-1 right away and followed CPR instruction provided by a dispatcher. The infant was revived but had shallow breathing and was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The case remains under investigation at this time. See more: butlersheriff.org/2014/08/11/infant-nearly-drowns-in-bucket-of-water-in-liberty-township/
