Disqualify Wike now, Rivers 16 governorship aspirants tell PDP NOVEMBER 5, 2014 BY OLUSOLA FABIYI, ABUJA 1 Comment Sixteen aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirants from Rivers State, have called on the national leadership of the Party to disqualify the former Minister of State for Education, Mr. Nyesom Wike from the 2015 governorship race. The aspirants at a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, accused Wike, who is also a governsorship aspirant in the party, of compromising the entire process of the last ward congress in the state. The congress was held nationwide by the party on Saturday. Many aspirants had complained about lack of transparency in the exercise and claimed that the exercise was marred with irregularities. Th aggrieved aspirants asked the members of the National Working Committee of the party to as a matter of urgency, “cancel the flawed Rivers ward delegate elections.” If their demand was not met, they said they would seek redress in court. The aspirants, who were at the briefing were Major Lancelot Ayanya (rtd), Mr. Beks Dagogo-Jack, Mr. Bernard Mikko, Prof. Don Baridam, Chief Barrister Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Prof. Israel Owate, Mr. Gabriel Pidomson and Abieatedoghu Bob-Abbey. Others included Sen. Lee Maeba, Mr. Nimi Walson-Jack, Capt.
