District plan renewed in Budgam ADDC directs officers to ensure regular monitoring mechanism BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 09: Agriculture and allied sectors have booked an expenditure of 45.6 percent whereas Rural Development department has spent 54 percent of funds available under district plan till October 2013. This information was given in the review meeting held by Additional District Development Commissioner today in district Budgam. Social sectors in district Budgam have registered a cumulative expenditure of Rs 25 Crores till date in this financial year and R&B department has black topped 115 km of road length in the district. Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mr. Mohi-ud-Din Bhat congratulated chief planning officer for submitting the first MIS (management information system) report in the whole state and advised the officers to visit field and take first hand stock of works executed and also advised them to reflect Annual maintenance costs of various tangible public assets such that it does not snowball in to huge problems. Chief Medical Officer informed the meeting that integrated disease surveillance project is under operation by which water testing at various places is done to ensure safe drinking water, in coherence with PHE department performance of forest department was found satisfactory whereas social forestry departments under achievement were taken in account seriously. Executive engineer PDD was asked to address various electricity related issues which people of the district are facing and a deadline was set up for maintenance of street lights, replacements of sub stations/transformers and expenditures related to regulating transmission and distribution (T&D) losses. Various issues related to subsidy monitoring and awareness were discussed at length and each department was directed to effectively provide services to public and work for the betterment of public at gross roots, utilizing all the available finances, especially in wake of the winter season which makes execution of public works difficult.
