Divali- A Reflection by Mahantji Balliram Chadee Firstly on behalf on my family and as Spiritual Leader if The Hanuman Mission of Ajax and Trinidad & Tobago Inc. I extend Divine Blessings and Best Wishes to everyone on this Auspicious Occasion of Divali 2014, being astrologically celebrated tomorrow Wed Oct 22, in our time zone in this part if the world. I pray and hope for peace on earth, contentment to all mankind and mutual respect for each other. I also ask that Mother Lakshmee shower her choicest blessings on all of us. I must confess though how embarrassing, disgusting and ignorant it was to see how some of Hindu leaders, Pundits and other Spiritualists behave because of the correct time when Divali should be celebrated. Anyone who studied and knows Astrology would have known the correct date and time for Divali. Those who knew would not have belittled themselves in ignorant arguments and debates. However the essence if Divali should represent Good over Evil, Light over Darkness and Immortality over Death. These are the fundamental practices and characteristics for Divali. By virtue of what we see on FB, Social Media, Newspaper, Radio and TV, we have missed the True Essence of Divali completely. We should act on Virtue, Ethics, Moral Conduct and Integrity, which in many cases seem to be missing. Cutthroat, Back stabbing and Cab in the Barrel syndrome is still order of the day. This is Real Sad when those who should and ought to know, have confused so many by their own ignorance, pride and ego. I pray that we all see the light on this Divali, despite which day we choose or were advised to celebrate. Let Maa Lakshmee shine get radiant light on you and yours. Offer a prayer for the less fortunate and lost souls. Ask for knowledge and guidance for them. Pray for all. Forgive all. Accept all. Be Sincere. Be Divine. Be Truthful. Be Educated. Then and only then can you shine your own light to this dark world. Aum Shree Maha Laksmee Aayay Namaha. Aum Shanti. Hari Aum Tat Sat.
